:wave Thank you all kindly for the sentiments!  It was kind of a laid back day.  Carol wanted a turkey to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary, from King Farms here locally.  They are, sad to say, going out of the turkey business and only had two left in the freezer, both 24 pounders.  I brought one home and deposited in our freezer.  Last Friday I moved it to the refrigerator, figuring on 4 days to thaw it out.  Today I got it out and started preparing it for the roaster.  It was soft on the outside, but still frozen inside!  Silly turkey is back in the fridge for another couple of days, and I made spaghetti instead.

Otherwise it was quiet.  I got a couple of T-shirts with funny graphics.  Thought about going to the range but bought the makings for a recipe in Taste of Home magazine instead.  I should have, at least, halved it as we now have enough to last until Christmas!  It will be shared with the neighbors. :applaud

Again, thanks for all the well-wishes, and keep on keeping on!    :*:

Thank you all again!

Nessmuk, I refuse to be "old".  I have noticed that people who call themselves old in fact become that way, and I don't plan on that happening to me. :laffing  My role model is Al Weber (one of my instructors at U of Alaska in the mid 1960s), who was still very active in a band up to the time he died in November of 2019, just shy of his 102nd birthday.

What was that commercial for?
Some colored gal is talking and says, "Age is just a number, and mine is unlisted!"
That's the spirit we should all take.

Happy Birthday.  As Clint says "don't let the old man in".  Hope you enjoyed your day.
