Figured I'd start a new topic here for Kevin and his situation.
My heart felt condolences on the loss of your brother. Your new medical problem will be at the top of my prayer list. Hang in there, and as Salty said, keep a positive attitude! We're all pulling for you. :*:

Much appreciated.
My brother was a total dependent on my parents till their deaths.
Since my father was a WW2 vet and is buried at fort Custer in Michigan, my brother is eligible for burial there as well along side our mother also .
So in the spring I'll drive his ashes home for the service.
My health is holding although could be better.
Saw my doctor today, increasing my anti platelets medication.
Also having palpitations so I get the experience an implanted cardiac loop monitor that records for up to 6 yrs.
So that should be fun
Thanks for caring everyone, makes me smile

Damn Kev, sorry I missed this news, get healthy bro and take some time to decomp!
-
Kevin, tell us that monitor won't limit your shooting what so ever.
-
Well, if he shoots left handed, it might.
I got put on a holter monitor a few months ago and it was the biggest piece of $h*% I have experienced. And they have the gall and audacity to charge Medicare $9,000 for that two week test.
All because the cardiologist somehow heard that I was complaining about heart palpitations. Which I did not. Oh well, I guess he was about due to make a payment on his Rolex watch. Or was it his offshore fishing boat? Regardless, I hope he took a good look at me, because I don't foresee returning again.
End of rant.

Holter monitors are a bitch.
This is implanted into my left chest wall but I'm right handed so no worries there.
Mainly now I get winded and fatigued fairly quickly.
Due to my enlarged spleen,( did I mention that) I am now considered immunocompromised.
We'll see how this all goes , not giving up yet, gotta see my Lions get to a Superbowl.

 Have you on my prayer list.

Hope all goes well. you're in my prayers.

I guess a guick update is in order.
Saw the hem/onc nurse practitioner.
My platelets have increased even with my new medication.
So double the dose and check back in a month.
Also the VA hematologist resigned so I have to be referred back into the community for a civilian doctor.
Good times.
Still doing good, hopefully back to shooting sooner than later.

Good luck, and I hope you can find a really good civilian doc that will provide you with the proper ingredients for a quick recovery.

In order to ease my suffering, my friend is holding on to this beauty while I scrape together some $$ to buy it. Just the gun not the bag
NSW 20ga chief grade trade gun. 30" Bbl.
Comes with balls and mold
Only fired 20x or so.
This should help :hairy

I really like the Chief's Grade TG.
It is the Cadillac of the trade guns.
You deserve something like that, Chief.

Did you get that gun your friend was holding for you yet? I hope so.
-
Nope, he's still holding on to it for me.
My brother left a small inheritance for me after his passing so I'm just waiting on the courts to finish their end.
I've fondled this gun before and I'm anxious to be here new boyfriend. :luff:
