In order to eliminate the guesswork, Ms. Smoke and I decided we would buy our own presents and call it good. So, I got something I have been wanting for a while. A Blackstone 28" griddle. I did give it a pre Christmas tryout, and the verdict is in. I love it. Good thinking, Sweetie!!!!! Just what I wanted.
No little Smokes running around so I didn't get any new neckties or underwear.
This is kinda depressing. I have been in this game for so long, there wasn't really anything muzzleloading I could think of that i either needed or wanted. Sad.

Sotkis jukem! That's what my polish grandma would say when i would ask what she was getting me for Christmas, when i was about 9 I asked her what that was..." nothing with a hole in it"!. actually we bought our Christmas present back in Sept, out new to us travel trailer, got the typical trinkets from thr young grandkids, they take 10 bux ea out of their bank and buy whatever they want to for presents for us, which is always nice to see how their thought process works, was a nice visit with them last night, today it's quiet one with a nice prime rib dinner and some port wine after dinner.

I don't know if Santa was involved but on the 24th I got authorization for cataract surgery so I'm pretty happy about that. No more fuzzy, cloudy, hazy rifle sights!

Let's see, chief grade trade gun, new floors ( I have to install, some gift) , electric smoker and the gift of seeing my wife smile as she spends time with her daughter she hasn't seen in 2 yrs.
Good Christmas

Sounds like Santa’s been really good to you, Kevin! I can’t imagine going that long without seeing one of my children. I know it’s only natural for them to leave the nest and go off into the world when grown, but I’m already dreading that day. Gotta’ spread their wings and fly, I suppose!
To keep costs down, we draw names each year. My brother (Dane) happened to draw me and asked some time ago for gift ideas. I told him that anything “rendezvous” would suit me just fine! I received a crock jug that’s got a really neat stopper carved from a piece of corn cob, which is attached with an intricately beaded leather thong; the jug looks nearly identical to another I had purchased several months ago. I also received a Haller enameled kerosene cook stove. The stove is obviously too late to be used openly at rendezvous, but it’ll make a great little camp stove.

Oh! I almost forgot my favorite gift: this sweet tumbler from my wife.
Liberal tears: nutritious AND delicious!

They really missed the boat on that one.
The bottom line should have said
