Found this brass beauty while out junking.
Not sure it's our era of accomplishment but it does hold a number of .50 cal size ( real ).020 pillow ticking patches. Spring loaded.
Never seen anything like it and I'm hoping someone here has a clue.
Also saw one there with a bigger patch probably.62 or up.
Owner had no idea but for 5$ I couldn't pass it up

It sure looks like a patch dispenser to me! have never seen one before but might as well build the better mouse trap back in the 60's or 70's?
