Title: Unique old horn
Post by: ridjrunr on May 26, 2014, 01:54:44 PM
I got this from a guy that picks all his antiques in Maine. 13.5" aoc , 2.75"dia at the pine base plug. The odd part is the spout section, the band and the spout are turned as one pc. Applied and pinned to a tapered section of the forward horn. Never saw anything like that before, has anyone else? 11 metal pins hold the base plug and 5 at the spout just forward of the band. I believe the spout section to be horn, not wood.
