Title: TMA Postal Match 2018 Mailings
Post by: Ohio Joe on January 03, 2018, 12:52:12 PM
Just got back from the Post Office where I mailed out our first group of entries (2018 Target Packets) along with the 2017 Certificates in the packets of those who finished in the top 5 last year.

There's plenty of time to get signed up for 2018. We have a'lot of fun with our Postal Matches.

Also, might want to start thinking of your "Mike Fink" partner for 2018... Again, more fun with friends teaming up and shooting in this long running TMA Annual Event.  :hairy

I forgot to mention that along with the new 2018 TMA Silhouette Targets,,, I also added three (new) TMA Targets in each packet for your enjoyment (some of which (may or will be) used in the 2018 Monthly Matches) along with a Mike Fink Target, and a guidelines/rules sheet. Please note that under "Caliber Limits" - It should read (.32 through .62 Caliber). (Disregard the; "Minimum Caliber .36 - Maximum Caliber .58").

Joe, IMHO, a man should walk very softly, while carrying a very accurate smoothbore...and I do!   :lol sign

Yes indeed, Russ, that's for sure!  :toast

Perhaps it would be better for Caliber Restrictions to read;

Nothing under .32 caliber,,, Nothing over .75 caliber...

I'll have to go check our Rules out, I've got them listed online here.  :bl th up

O'kay, I got it right. Our Rules read;

CALIBER RESTRICTIONS For TMA Paper Silhouettes; No Less Then .32 Caliber - No More Then .62 Caliber...

So a smoothie can be used if a person so chooses. I can't imagine anyone using a .75 (Brown Bess) for target shooting, but who knows?  :)
The .62 caliber does open the field for the Baker Rifle... I don't think we want to get into any caliber smaller then .32 for scoring purposes. I know .22 and .25 caliber muzzle loading barrels are being made - but we're gonna stick with the .32 as a minimum caliber.  :bl th up
