Looks to me like you'll have no problems, the return seemed fairly straight forward.

I was thinking about you when I first read that.
I wasn't sure if your time-line fell into that, but I was thinking it definitely could.
It didn't seem you've had that new rifle all that long.

I can't recall when Rob did his last one, seems he did more than one in the past couple of years.
Hope he's okay with the ones he did, and they were before those serial numbers listed....

I can't remember if it was 2017, or 2016, but I ordered a Lyman GPR Kit early in the year, after several months with nothing, I got a notice they couldn't fill my order and had given me a refund...not sure what that was all about, but I never pursued it.
Rumor had it that got a couple of hundred ,and once they were gone they could no longer afford to sale them at that price.

Rob probably knows more about all that because he's the one that alerted me to that really attractive price.

Yes, I started that GPR kit build on 10/20/17,,, but if I recall I set on that kit for a'while before I ever started it.

I saw no signs of trouble when I test fired it, but then again I was only using 70 grains of 2fg under a .530 patched ball. Naturally I'll do the safe thing and get the recall taken care of as I would not want to risk the rifle being passed on when I'm gone and it being unsafe to whoever ends up with it.

I guess it's my .45 caliber Dickert style rifles for opening postal matches this year. That's okay, they're my favorites anyway.

I'm just glad we got this information out to the public.  :shake

After preachin' to the choir that EVERYBODY should have at least one Lyman GPR (in one of my posts), it dawned on me that I had given mine to my son in Texas.
I had to check the date when I ordered it's replacement 'cause I always strip the barrels of the "numbers'n writin'",.... looks like I ordered it June 2016, so it should be alright.  :bl th up

I still ain't shot it yet after gittin' it together.  :o  :Doh!

I sent 2 flintlock barrels back and didn't notice any marks on the breech lugs at all.  May have been a look and see inspection.
