Surprised me it was out so soon, but that's okay.
One thing I'm a wondering is if we're still having the annual FTD meeting over at the Museum... Gonna have to find Norm's phone number - usually it's held in late January to mid February... Guess I'll find out sooner or later??? :bl th up

I've not heard anything about the annual "Chadron Fur Trade Days" event that is to take place in July '20,,, but I will put this out here now as it's only 13 weeks off - and I don't see any "cure" for this Corona-virus coming real soon that would indicate that one morning we're all gonna wake up and all will be just 100% a-o-k and back to normal... Just don't see that happening.
With the above said, I have decided to cancelled my plans to attend Chadron Fur Trade Days 2020... So no Rondy for me this year (unless things change) for the better - and I might take in the doings at Bridgeport, NE (over Labor Day weekend - 2020),,, but we'll play it all by ear???
If I hear anything about Chadron Fur Trade Days, I'll pass it along, here. :shake

Received the Chadron Fur Trade Days 2020 Flyer today in the mail from Norm...
At this point the city of Chadron itself has not decided whether or not they will have CFT Days this year,,, according to Norm...
Mike Kime suggested that even if CFTD is cancelled, we could still have our Rendezvous Camp anyway - assuming the virus is under control... So it's a roll of the dice in my opinion...
A lot hinges on whether or not travel restrictions are eased for out of state participants, and the numbers allowed to gather in one place (in or out of State folks)...
Personally I'm not going to hold my breath on this... Simply put, I won't make any concrete plans one way or the other even if all is well by July 8th (the day the Rendezvous starts). I'm gonna set this one out and hopefully spend it with my grand kids (I hope) and the rest of my family as well... I don't care for making "what if plans" - that's just me... :shake

I'd feel a whole lot better about a Rendezvous outing if hearing in the news, "no cases of the virus for 3 to 4 months" but that barely fits into the July dates of CFTD's window. There's always next year... You and Beth stay healthy!

I'm thinkin' that Corona Virus can't survive "wood smoke'n whiskey",.... so a rendezvous ought'a be a pretty safe place to be. :bl th up :laffing :*: :toast

CFC says that you have to use at least 60% alcohol to kill the virus. How strong is that stumpwater you folks have been imbibing? Might have to add some Everclear to bring it up to snuff.... :laffing

No no, Kees... The key here is to drinking steady from the outset of camp through the end of the Rendezvous,,, only taking that pot of coffee over the morning campfire seriously on the day you break camp. Yes, embellishing the "liquid spirits" from the start to the end of camp helps flatten out that uneven ground a feller has to walk over during the doings... The combination of booze, moccasins (or boots), make your feet feel pretty darn good.
And boy oh boy,,, you sure sleep good at night... Don't even hear all the folks snoring in camp... :hairy
