Any idea what this rifle is?  It has been offered to me for a wall ornament.  Any idea what it is and value?thanks for any help. Ole Scratch

I'm 99.5% sure it's a South American monkey gun.  :hairy

That was my thinking Rondo. That carving gave it away. I think a bunch of those guns were made in Belgium and imported weren't they?

I think most of them were Belgian made,... maybe a few also from Spain.  :bl th up
Under the barrel (in the area covered by the stock) might be a number, indicating the metric size of the smooth bore in millimeters.  :bl th up

And yes,.... there were quite a few of the percussion guns imported to South America in the early 1900's, for bird and monkey hunting.  :bl th up

Does the fella also have the back-action lock that belongs to that particular gun?

To me it looks typical Belgium  if so it will have the Belgium proof marks on the underside of the barrel near the breech end

Back in the 1970's Dixie Gun Works imported a ton of those in 24GA smoothbore.
