On this day September 26, 1820, Boone died of natural causes at his home in Femme Osage Creek, Missouri. He was 85 years old. [ Invalid Attachment ]

A hero of mind that seems larger than life. I imagine he is easier to admire from a distance than in real life, but still one of those that forged our nation out of a wilderness.
