I need another smoothie like I need another hole in my head,.... but I couldn't turn this one from Jack Garner down (especially at that price). :laffing

Is there anymore to this ?
I'd like some specs atleast.

Rob, did you just double down on smooth bores? Thought you just got one built up to your standards???
We need more info please!

Nope, just have the one 20ga I worked on - this thread is about Rondo's new-to-him smoothie, lucky feller!

Actually I know little about my recent purchase,.... other than it was built by Jack Garner (I've known Jack for more than 40 years), and it's a .62 with a 35" barrel, with a tuned lock, and has a 13 1/2" trigger pull. :)
I'll be able to report more about it, once I receive it. :bl th up :)

Cool. You must be stoked.
Keep us informed on the particulars once she's in your hands.

I've had one of the TVM smoothbores for over 12 years and love it. Nice!

I have one of Jack's Tennessee Mtn Rifles in .45 caliber.
The wood is awesome !!!
It's a real keeper. Ms. Smoke gave it to me maybe 40 years ago. Wouldn't trade it for anything.

Well, I have the Jack Garner .62 smoothie in my hands. :bl th up
It looks to be from the early-to-mid-80's,.... the ramrod is broken half way through and the ramrod hole is "gummed-up" with some unknown substance.
The front sight has been filed down to only 1/16" tall. :o :Doh!
The stock isn't in "pristine condition" by any means,.... but the barrel, lock, bore, and trigger, seem to be in okay/good shape. :bl th up
None of the above was mentioned by the seller when I bought this smoothie,.... but, it's nothing I can't work around with a little "time and effort". :bl th up :)
On the plus side,.... Jack's excellent browning job on the barrel, lock, and iron hardware, looks as though it was done yesterday. :applaud :bow :bl th up

Congrats, Rondo! Sounds like she's a keeper so far! :bl th up :bl th up

You're going to have fun with that, just fixing and then working up loads. Yes sir, fun times ahead, for sure!
