At $1500 an ounce, unlikely I will be killing many warewolves with gold or any other
creatures.I had a double Eagle  at one time when gold was like $350 an ounce, many years ago.I traded it for a Charles Daly O/U 20gauge S/G.All guns
and $$$$$ went South with my first devorce :( Only in the last, almost 30years
have I been able to rebuild my gun collection.Almost all B/P from rifles to
C/B pistols.Have three that are not B/P.Two house protection guns .25 AutoBrowning and a S&W .45 auto.
I know I have most likely gone a bit of topic.

Well now, it's silver not gold on Werewolves.  Gold shot, size #11, is useful on Cybermen, as it interferes with their resperatory system.  First used by The Doctor in a device known as the glitter gun, which was essentially a smooth bore gun firing gold shot or filaments.  (SEE...,   Dr. Who:  Revenge of The Cybermen. )

WAIT, this isn't the Sci Fi TV Nerds Forum.  My bad!

Well, you are all forgetting the most famous user of silver bullets.  Seems like it was documented every Saturday morning in the minds of millions of people, so there can be no denying it.

Do you remember something like:  "With a hearty cry of 'Hi Ho Silver,' the daring masked man and his faithful sidekick Tonto..."  along with the William Tell Overture playing forcefully in the background.  Geez, that was great!!!

I think that's how it went.  Anyhow, I do recall that the two gunned feller dressed for the masquerade had a belt full of silver bullets.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest Up to God.

Yep John, You're quite right, those were indeed "the good old days"!
In the mid 1940's I hurried home from school to get my chores and my homework done so I could listen to that masked man and his faithful partner on the radio...sometime around 1951 or so we got our first television and, fortunately for me, one of the three channels we could receive carried the Lone Ranger....shinin times indeed!

A young fella's imagination is a wonderful thing, keeps him busy and his mind occupied.
That, and the fact that when your favorite make believe sidekick is none other than the Lone Ranger you seem to avoid any kind of trouble!
Seems we could do right well with more of those Lone Ranger kind of guys in this younger generation.

You're right shootr, it hardly seems civilized to talk to about silver bullets without the mention of the Lone Ranger.

Uncle Russ...
It's the many things we don't do that totally sets us apart.

I have tried to shoot tin and they bounced off the piece of poplar I was using as a backstop... zero penetration. too light. I thought about a heavy dense bismuth core with a thick plating of copper to hold the bismuth together on impact... but I am not much of a mealurgist, so it remains just a thought.
