Just Good Lube is a mixture of Beeswax and Jojoba Oil.  It was designed as a patch lube for hunting with PRB.  It works fine for revolver seals as well, but I am experimenting with Beeswax and Canola oil with the % of oiled varied for ambient temperature range.  This will keep the cost down since you need more lube on a cylinder seal than on a PRB.  Unfortunately I am stuck in Hotel California for a while, but will try to get a batch of 'Summer' and 'Winter' Just Good Revolver Lube perfected at my Christmas Home break.  Then I would love to have some TMA wheel shooters try a can of each for free to get your opinions.  OBTW - I use #10 not #11 caps on my three wheelies, and they seem to hold much better.  All are ferigners, but replicas of Colts and Remingtons and so far perform well (definitely better than this Ol Son can shoot  :Doh! )

Thing is, if'n you take a inside mic to the revolver chambers you'll see that they're usually smaller than the bore of your barrel (usually by .004-.006"). If'n you think this a fib, simply (while your revolver's unloaded and the nipples out -) squeeze a ball of yer favorite size inta a chamber, then push it out (just like ya loaded it "dry". Take that ball (takin care to maintain the same orientation to the barrel as it had when it was in the chamber -) and simply drop it inta yer barrel. If it rattles all the way down and falls out ta end, well, hey , you'll know I weren't fibbin.
There's actually a lot of information on this subject (you can find quite a bit at this web-page in a different forum, and this web-page "blog" has a fairly decent run-down of the different ways to "open" up the throats of yer chambers in ta cylinder to obtain fairly decent accuracy), just gotta look around a little.

I use a waxy felt wad cut to the bore diameter. Grease it and push it in right after the powder. It holds the powder in until I push in the balls for all six loads at once. It's nice to just deal with 6 powder loads, then 6 wads, then six balls. Seems to lower the reloading mess.

Then the shooting part, seems to keep the barrel cleaner and shooting better for longer/ more shots. It also eliminates the mess of carrying it with crisco all over the end of the cylinder.

Wonder wads, that's what they are called.

Just use a .44 wad for a .44, a .36 for a .36. Custom cutting a wad can actually be worse than no wad at all.

I used rollingb's concoction this weekend for the "cookie" used between the powder and ball. I put 42 rounds through my Walker and 36 through my Colt Army. I have never in nearly 40 years had a BP gun this clean after a day at the range. Plus, with my Track of the Wolf nipples, not a single cap jam in 78 rounds.

When I get some time I will get my 6 shooters out(2), and then get my mikes on them(I have a set that can go to 6in, out side and depth). will measure  the chambers for depth and diameter, and the barrel then let you know.

I am a trained machinist and can work to 1/10,000 inch.
