Really cold winter in the Pacific Northwest!

Lucky boys
We are.back in the teens with 20-30 mile wind out of the north
I have frostless hydrants 6 feet deep that are froze
It's been terrible up here this year
The worst thing that can happen up here is snow melting
We lose all of our insulation
I hear you guys on the batteries
We started buying rebuilt interstates for 45.00 they are fantastic
No more than 2 years old when rebuilt and we love them
I do think we are suppose to warm this weekend so hopefully we can burn some powder
But I've said that every weekend since November
And I have yet to get out

Jake,.... what are you putting them in, I need a couple batteries for my 1175 Case tractor.

I just put 2 new Interstates in my Dodge Cummins last week,.. to the tune of $383.00

I do alot of maintenance for the local guys
I install probably 50 or so batteries a year I've put them in everything from tractors combines semis
We have tried alot of batteries from just about every dealer
We had good luck with AC delcos but at 3 times the price
I've always been impressed with interstates batteries
They also make batteries for cordless tools that are fantastic
Hate to dive off of black powder topics
Let me know if you need anymore help finding them
I think it's a group 30 battery but double check on that
That's a nice tractor I think it's rated at 150 but very steady sound 130 hp

Do you know what group batteries that old Cummins took

Not sure what "group", but they were the 6 yr. MTP-65's,... with 1000 cranking amps,.... 850 cold cranking amps.

That sort'a reminds me of a picture I seen of my Dad cutting down a big tree when he was a young man,.... the tree was so big, the picture weighed 40 lbs.

I can believe this. I was in Montana when the wind was blowing and no matter which way I turned, it was in my face!

what the heck! - ok last week we had 22d and 35mph wind! yesterday it was 71!!! and the weather guys are all saying snow tonite!?!?!? what?

Sorry, Two weeks later, and here in Western PA it's been, and will befor a couple more days, in the low 70's. Shooting weather to be sure.
