Oh no.  Will they be any shorter?

Speaking of yardsticks, in Canada, do they call them meter sticks?

Are any of these sticks sharp?

:Doh! Sorry, I just had to ask.
The trouble with doing things right the first time is no one realizes how hard it was.
Often, however, the following is more applicable.
I stand corrected, a position somewhat painful to achieve, but once there, is quite satisfying.

if they made 'em in various lengths, would have a broader appeal to consumers

I've seen four foot metal yard sticks for sale, but I have avoided buying any as I don't want to cut a foot off them. If they were perforated where I could snap that un'needed extra foot off, I might reconsider a four foot yard stick purchase... :P
