Enjoying some of this spring's bounty!

I didn't turkey hunt this weekend so we celebrated me being at home by trying out some of this season's turkey harvest. I fried up some breast meat, made mashed taters, buttermilk biscuits, and gravy from the drippings. For dessert, I made a thin mint brownie cheesecake. My wife and I are both full as ticks now. Life is good!

I think I just gained a couple of pounds, just looking at those dishes! That must have been some mighty fine eating there, and I can smell the aroma coming through the confuser making me hungry again....

I apologize for not joining you all. I must have missed my invitation somehow...lol This was a true FEAST. As has already been said, I gained weight just by looking at all the those vittles. You are one "good cooker," as my daughter used to say to her mom. Never tried fried turkey, but I will now after seeing how good yours looks!

Being from the Deep South I was raised on "cat head" biscuits. Ummm...but that looks good.

Had enough for leftovers this week, too!
Hanshi, I grew up with the term "cat head" biscuits, or cat heads for short. When I got out into the big, wide world and used that term, people would look at me like I was nuts. Glad to see somebody else knows what a cat head is!

I don't suppose you'd be kind enough to post the recipes? Some of us would love to try and replicate your feast!
especially the fried turkey!

Just showed the pictures to my wife...After her oohhs and aahhs stopped, she looked at me and said, "Where did I go wrong?"
