Has anyone tried using greased leather or chamois for shooting patches? How did you like it? Any problems?

I'm not sure about chamois but a while back Squire Robin posted some information about tests he did with leather patches. He also had quite a bit of information about his experiments on a blog he did. You might try searching the Forum or his posts.

I have used very thin greased leather and it works good. just work up a proper load for your gun with it. I know a few gents that hunt with it in dry times because it keeps the woods from burning down.

Robin said that many he used were re-usable.
