Hello Again and Welcome ...
« on: April 03, 2017, 09:23:04 PM »
Yes, we've moved our "house" over to a new internet server (last year), and now over this past weekend to new forum software.  These moves are in concert with making for a better TMA Member and Forum User environment.  There are a number of added "features" for all and we hope the transition from the old forum to this new one won't be traumatic or difficult for anyone.

Now that you're here, please take a moment to view your forum profile and update any information that may be missing.  The data we ask for is very basic - your first and last names, your general location of residence (USA state or foreign country), your email address, and your birth date.  Your personal data, though very basic and public, is never shared outside of the TMA.  This data - your name, where in the USA or world you live, your age and email address - helps us to better know each other in the community of like-minded folks.  We all share a common passion, and that's a good thing!  :bl th up  :*:

While you are in your forum profile, also check out the "Notifications" and "Personal Messaging" settings - you may wish to change them in order to make using the TMA forum easier.

The forum software transition took over 7 hours, and work on the system is still happening.  During the conversion, and as expected, some things didn't go as smoothly as planned.  The only real issue - so far! - are the smilies (emoticons) we use in posts - some made it over well and too many not so well.  The conversion software couldn't distinguish a special smilie image from a non-smilie image, and recoded the smilie.  It's not at all important, but you can edit a post with an errant smilie and fix it, if need be.

There are a number of new things available, and a prominent one is the automatic displaying of videos.  If you wish to post a video, just type or copy and paste the video address in your post.  That's it.  Nothing else to do.  Your video will be shown as a large screen right in your post.  Here's one right now ...
