Actually bear grease is some of the most usable stuff you can take from an animal. We use to use it for everything...frying almost anything or as a lard for pie crust or cookies. You can put it on your boots...or on your hair. I use to use it for popping pop corn....great stuff but not really good for you to ingest  too much of it...might clog the old arteries.  :lol:

Best I ever ate were tenderloins cut up into pieces about 2-3" across, flour battered and deep fried in a catfish cooker.  Served with flour gravy.  Another way that's real good is to marinate in red wine, butter, spices [forgot the exact mix offhand], garlic and slice thin, grill medium on a open fire grill....
