i never did any deer ......but in 1999 looking at y2k...ya i fell for that...i canned some beef stew meat...you MUST use a pressure cooker..........well any way this spring we ate the last jar.......tasted good and no health problems......used the meat, couple of whole allspice, some onion, browned the meat........put in jars with the spices filled with beef boulioun juice........
