Where can a guy find a diagram of a lock for a matchlock? I've never seen the inside of one. Were there standard designs, or was each one more or less unique?
  I'd like to make one, but don't know where to start, so I'm thinking the lock might be a good place.  Barrels I've got, blanks I have and can make springs, but lock knowledge is an illusive quarry.

I think Pitchy has made a few matchlocks of his own, but I could be mistaken.  Hopefully he'll see this soon and chime in to help you.

It will depend upon what type of lock you are interested in, as European serpentines mostly fall back toward the musketeer, while Japanese/Korean serpentines fall forward.
