Here is my multi shop set up, pic of my first wood turning since high school,(looong time ago), and a little trunk I'm working on. And I still have all my fingers, cause I jest counted em.

Ah, yes, the venerable old Shopsmith.
Love it, best thing I ever invested in.
There are a few things I don't like about the lathe, but mostly, I think it is a fine machine.
So, what exactly is that fine looking wood turning?

Hey John, the turning was just a get familiar with the tools thing. My wife wants me to make a lamp with it. I was really having a good time watching the stock take different shapes. Will def make horn building easier. Seems like I always need a wood plug or dowel for something and never have the right size. I hooked up the jointer for the first time today and it is as smooth as silk. Just got this machine recently. I have table saw attach and disc sander, drill chuck and table for saw. Already have full sized table saw so prob won't use this one right away. If I can pick up a small planer I will be set for most projects as I have to rely on salvage wood for projects. Budget won't allow wood purchases.   BTW Al, I did have a little trouble countin fingers as I kept forgeting to count the one I was counting with! ;)

Lots of fun working in a wood shop. I've always been scared to death running salvaged wood through my jointer and planer. Thoses nails can really hide.
