I would disagree that the Cherokee uses a 1/4-28 thread nipple.
I think it uses the same size and pitch as the Seneca and Patriot and also the Ruger Old Army.
Try a 12-28 or something like that.
From the TOW website:
Nipple, 12-28 thread, for T/C Seneca, Cherokee rifles, & T/C Patriot pistol, #11 cap, Ampco bronze
Hope this helps,
John

Bigsmoke is correct on the 12-28 nipple and #10 cap, although we've always just "pinched down" a #11 and worked just fine.

I have been unable to locate any #10 caps locally, so I hope the #11's will work for me this weekend at the range.

I got the "Hot Shot" nipple, the one with the little holes drilled thru the sides of the nipple, for mine, which takes the #11 cap. Works perfect!

Thanks for the correction - I have not had the rifles for a while. Most of T/C is the
1/4 - 28 but those little guns were different. I do know that I had good luck with #10 caps.
They can be a bit harder to find if you do have have a good ML supply nearby.

Guys I agree with most that has been said about the .32Cal. But my thought
is, it is the cal not who made it! I have had and still have two .32s.One being a Crockett,
the other being a reworked T/C with a G/M barrel.Both are outstanding shooters.The
G/M handles the .32 Buffalo very well! When all is said and done the .32 is just plain fun
to shoot IMHO

11/16" barrel? Wonder what diameter breech threads T/C used then
