mountain man carving
« on: June 10, 2012, 12:45:23 PM »
I asked my sister in law Betty in Oregon to carve me a mountain man and this is her handiwork. About 11 inches high, fools gold belt buckle, black deer antler for powder horn, leather scraps for possible bag from my uncles saddle shop, and as she said in letter Willie Nelson inspired braids in beard. I believe wood is mahogany. She and my brother live 20 miles from Fort Umpqua, Ore. Can I hear a Huzzah for Betty?
