Another Squirrel rifle
« on: November 04, 2012, 09:28:36 PM »
Hello, just finished this .32 cal. Indiana style rifle.  Montana barrel co.  .32 cal by 36", TC flintlock, double set triggers.  All brass trim.  On a nice piece of Oregon quilted maple.  weighs 8 lb & will shoot into 1 ragged hole at 20 yd.  watch out squirrels.

Looks like the bushy tails might be in trouble this year . Seems there are a lot of people building the smaller calibers ?

Dang, what a beautiful and well crafted rifle.  That fore stock with the odd figure is identical to the stock on my .45.  I refer to it as "clouds" and "flame" as that's what it resembles (to me) more than tiger.
Young guys should hang out with old guys; old guys know stuff.
