« on: December 20, 2012, 12:29:47 PM »
Well they say idle hands do the devils work, so I'm starting another project.  This is going to be somewhat a great lakes short bbl. fusil, (canoe gun) French styling, flintlock, home made brass trim. & a .58 cal. 24 ga. X 26" bbl. Walnut stock blank from Oregon...........Tom

First 2 pic's of shop made nose cap & rod tip.  Then Barrel channel Acra-Glas bedded full length. ( very thin forearm & acra-glas adds plenty of extra strength.

I sure like that fancy, one-off front sight Gunmaker. Is that one of your own design?

I'm afraid so Ric, just filing on a scrap of brass. supposed to be a leaf of some kind-- I think. I made the rear pipe skirt as well as thumb piece & inlay for rear sling stud.  More pic's as I go along.....Tom
