Nice looking Noggin.  I found a burl tree on my property just today.  I think I will cut the
burl off and let if dry a few years, then do something like this if I'm still around.

I have been eyeing a burl on one of my sugar maples for a few years. Just afraid of cutting it off, (on main trunk), and killing the tree. It is quite big, but with bark removed maybe not so much? Will tree paint help tree last after burl removed?  BTW, nice, nice job on the burl!

Nice job on the noggin Piotr-cz. :rt th
Suzkat if you tack a powerwasher and take the bark off the burl then rap it in a garbig bag and stick it in the freezer for 3 to 4 munts it will freezdry and not crack.
Greyhunter if you cut it flush off the tree this time of the year the tree should be fine. It may leak some but will be fine. You can paint it but it will do fine if ya don't.
