As I got older, the rear sight kept needing to be further up the barrel too!  Now I shoot a smooth bore without a rear sight.  Couldn't see the darned thing nohow.  Really good looking rifle.

28" and it's crystal clear to my old eyes.  Been Shootin all day with zero probs so far.  About 30 shots with same flint.  Had to wipe after about every 8 shots.

I'm getting very good groups with 50 and 60 gr and cotton muslin/spit or mink oil.

Hate to say but you will get old, when you do the rear sight will not be there.

My rear has been moved 4 times down the barrel but I can still see it. I have medals from shoots showing it works.
