Some lucky winner is going to win this very nice "Noggen", donated by our own longtime member Don Hanson, or Roaddog as we know him on the forum
According to Don;
The Noggen was brought into his neck of the woods in the 1700's, by the Voyageurs, some of our earliest Fur Traders. They hung the Noggen from their sash where it was ready for dipping a drink of water, or used as dish / bowl for their meals.
They were carved from knots, or the burl of hardwood.

Here is a picture of the bowl, and accompanying  spoon.

Here is another picture of the beautiful burl as seen with the Noggen turned upside down.

This last picture is with my finger showing the depth of the bowl, which is about 2.75"....deep enough to hold a quick meal.

Many thanks to Roaddog for this very nice donation! :bl th up
I will be mailing this to the Lucky winner.
Get you Tickets, it's not much longer until the drawing takes place!

I have an axe/hatchet hanger for the raffle. It will hold a small axe or hatchet of about 5" poll to blade and a blade about 3" wide.
Leather non-adjustable strap is 60" long.

Also a very nice Ohio style "D" shaped double bag, measures 11 1/2" wide and 8"deep. Has a 1" x 48" adjustable strap with a brass buckle.
4 oz veg tanned leather, dark brown stain and buffed. Nice fowler bag! I have more photos that I can email if requested.

Thanks a whole big bunch, Rick

I have know you for many years now, and your work has ALWAYS reflected top notch quality, no matter what you're making.
Such a bag, when bought at a trade show, would fetch a couple hundred Bucks, easily.

Some lucky winner is going to get a wonderful looking fowler bag, that's for dang sure!
It's strong appeal to me, and many others I feel sure, is the fact it's done in veg. tanned, dark brown leather.....a nice departure from the typical 'light brown color" so often seen.

Hawk lovers everywhere are going to love that Hawk Carrier...like so many other things you do, it too is Top Notch!

Very nice!

Thanks for all the support John!

You have been a tremendous asset to the 2017 Raffle!

Still have to sell a lot more tickets, lots of plunder here we'll be giving away, but ya gotta have a ticket first!

Thanks Uncle Russ.  Seems to me you are doing most of the work,  along with donating some fine plunder yourself.  But there are lots of excellent prizes available and it's all for a good cause.   :bl th up

I just got word from our good friend and great TMA Member Dan Herda (Ridjrunr) that he has just completed the "Twin" to the very nice Powder Horn he is donating.

The lucky winner will now have his choice of a left carry, or right carry, beautifully done Powder Horn.

Here are the pictures.....they are absolutely "Twins".

The lucky winner will choose which one he likes best, ie, which side he/ she would normally carry your Powder Horn on, and Dan will send it to you.

Folks, it just don't get no mo betta than that!

Thank you for posting the pix Uncle Russ :toast
I will add just a bit, its a rt side carry as you stated but non identicle twin  :lol sign
This one has a black walnut plug and a removable screw tip of whitetail antler. After this pix was taken ,I added a staple to the plug and a small staple " up front" to keep the eventual strap away from the screw tip.
