I may have beat it this morning; waffles topped with peanut butter and smothered with slightly cooked blueberries from by blueberrry patch and syrup with a 1/4 lb deer sausage pattie on the side.

Yep....that sounds mighty fittin!  :bow

Normally I use Louisiana Pure Ribbon Cane Syrup on my pancakes....not that store bought stuff you see in my photo but Angie stuck that bottle out and told me to use it to finish off the bottle she uses! I'm out of deer sausage but that won't be long in coming as the grandsons are bow hunting and I'll be in Kansas soon doing the same thing with my Hawken!

And a good day to you sir! :bl th up :toast

Doc says the 'ticker' is good to go but at 77....it's all just a crap shoot! But...I'm just gonna keep on whistling Dixie and hope for the best! Kinda gettin tired of burying my buddies though! :o :Doh!

That looked mighty good, Hawken! Sometimes we'll have that for supper and it's always a mighty welcome meal! And Gooooood!!! :*:

You took the words right out of my mouth Joe....
I also love "Breakfast" type meals for the evening meal....some may call it Dinner while others call it Supper.
I'm in the group that says Supper.

Something I'm very found of for Supper is "Biscuits and Gravy", but then again, I strongly suspect I could eat Biscuits and Gravy three times a day, that and lots of good strong black coffee..........it makes Russ one happy old boy.

.............................says the man that makes gallons of pure Maple Syrup every single year!

In fact, back in the early days, the TMA used to have several members doing syrup every year.
I used to look forward to those times, with the guys doing all the work in the snow and the cold, with me just setting back looking at the many pictures they posted all the time showing their progress.

Until you've seen how it's done, you will never believe the work, and the number of gallons of raw syrup it takes to make a quart of table ready syrup.
I'm sure if we were to look waaaay back in the archives we could find those "Syrupin" pictures.

Kinda miss those days.

And this morning what we were fed 55 years ago in our own US Navy for Saturday breakfast: cornbread, hard boiled eggs and pork & beans!

I would hope that breakfast was only for the "on top of the water" sailors. In a submarine it could get you shot out of the torpedo tubes with or without your permission.
