Well I just got back from the big city (Kearney, NE), and while there, I took my TMA flag into Hobby Lobby and had a professional seamstress take a look at it.
She said it was definitely made commercially and although she was darn good at sewing, there was no way she could match the work done on my particular flag but she could come close.
She said the blue "ribbons" outlining the flag were made from a single piece of cloth, no "joints" anywhere.
She said the iron-on logo will have to be "cool-ironed on" so as to not damage the polyester material of the flag, and she can do that.
I left my flag with her to use as a pattern, and although she estimated the cost of labor to make a flag at $30.00, she said it might wind up being more than that, or it might be a bit less.
I gave her my phone number, and $50.00 for material and labor (I'm expecting to get some of the $50.00 back), and told her I'd mail her some logos as soon as I get some.
Now all I need are some iron-on TMA logos so she can do her job,.... any suggestions on the logos, or anyone know where I can get some?
She also asked how many flags I was needing and I told her,.... "possibly a couple of dozen".
For a minute, I thought the old gal was going to faint!
