July 2019 Mike Fink Team Scores

Rollingb (40) & Blackpowderbill (38)................78 points  Official 2019 Mike Fink Partner Shoot Champions!

No Powder (44) & Ohio Joe (32) ....................76 points

BigSmoke (  ) & Two Steps (  )

Mad Irish Jack (46) & Nessmuk (24)................70 points

Uncle Russ (  ) & RobD (  )

Winter Hawk (22) & dmarsh (32)....................54 points

PaulK (34) & Axe (36)....................................70 points

SharpStick (44) & poorboy ( 0 ).......................44 points

Under our Mike Fink rules, I could not count Poorboy's target... The Post Mark was 1 Aug '19 - This target would have won it with 40 points provided (I measured/scored the two shots / one hole correctly) (3 - 10 counters, 1 - 6 counter, and 1 - 4 counter...) Sorry it happened this way, but the rules are the rules and we must stand by them. The target is also clearly marked as well that it was shot on 8-1-19... Poorboy, I give you credit for turning in a good target with all the shots in the cup. The bottom "right" 10 counter appeared to be two shots in the same hole...

It would appear that Rollingb & Blackpowderbill have won this year's Mike Fink Shoot... However, I won't make it official until 7 days after the month of July ends - as our Rule is that Targets must be "Post Marked" by July 31st to count for score... With this said - targets will become official on August 7th, after the mail runs.

Rollingb (40) & Blackpowderbill (38)................78 points

Early congrats to the leaders in the teepee. :Doh! :yessir:

Congratulations to all you sharpshooters!  :hairy
Once again it was great fun and an eye straining challenge.

For poorboy, shootin' at Mike Fink was nothin' but trouble. From what little he's shared with me, I can't wait to hear the full story of poorboy's travails at the range.  I'm sure it's going to be interesting. Sounds like a Zane Grey story already.

Fair warning, you all better be watch out for us Zonies, we'll be back next year.

Meanwhile, it's time to make those pesky chickens dance.
The trouble with doing things right the first time is no one realizes how hard it was.
Often, however, the following is more applicable.
I stand corrected, a position somewhat painful to achieve, but once there, is quite satisfying.

I don't know about blackpowderbill, but I'm gonna spend my half of the prize money on more "powder'n wisky".  :applaud :toast  :*:

Well now, doncha know, Two Steps and I an Russ and Rob are the only ones who had perfect targets.  I don't know what everyone else is getting all excited about.  Good going Russ and Rob.

Well...truth be known...I did shoot a target but it was SO BAD there is no way I'd let anyone see it.  Mike laughed so hard he got a bad case of the hiccups!  :o. Maybe another time.
Congrats to RB and BPB! :applaud

Absolutely great!  :bl th up

Sorry fellas, But I just couldn't make it to the range this year.
That doggone fall I had shure took a lot out of me.
That, and all that darn running back and forth to different Speciality Clinics in Spokane, Wenatchee, and one trip to Seattle, along with the heat we were having when I was at home...I just couldn't make it happen, but I sure had that itch.
One thing I will promise everyone, I will never again drive in Seattle. Never. Ever. Period! Damn bunch'a Crazies!
(With all the traffic backed-up going over the Pass, then that crazy City, I must've aged 20 years on that last trip!)

Next year, I promise my shootin pardner Rob, that I will do my best, he just has to do his usual, but I betcha the two of us will do oaky.
It's the many things we don't do that totally sets us apart.

1980, my parents were with a German choir in Portland, OR and had an engagement in Seattle's King Dome.  I drove them up, dropped them off and went to find a parking spot.  I stopped at a stop sign and suddenly the back door was opened and a BIG black fella shoved his wife in, then got in and told me where to drive to.  It was a GREAT surprise!  I did take him where he wanted, looking for a cop all the way; they got out and I zipped out of there, locking all the doors as soon as I had a chance.  It's CRAZY in the big city!

Oh, I did find my way back in time to listen to the singing competition.

Not at all....this side of he mountains is where normal folks live.
Fairchild is a nice Base. We used to shop at the Fairchild Commissary, until gas got so expensive. It's right at 128 miles from our house to the commissary at the Bast, or about 260 miles roundtrip.
Spokane is nice.
Right on the border of Idaho, you can see "snow cap" mountains most of the year and that's a big plus to me.
It's the many things we don't do that totally sets us apart.
