Home after surgery
« on: July 28, 2021, 12:05:14 PM »
I have been AWOL for a spell. At the beginning of May I was surprised to find out I had some serious heart issues.

On June 25 I went into the hospital for surgery. They split my chest and did a quadruple bypass, replaced a valve, did a Maze procedure, and also banded off a section of my heart that is a source of blood clots.

After about 9 days they let me go to rehab. I was there six days and almost croaked so had to be sent to Emergency Room. After another 8-9 days I was finally cleared to come home, which was this past Sunday.

I lost another 15 pounds and am as weak as a newborn kitten, with no strength or stamina. The good news is now I can start the road to recovery.

Look forward to catching up...

I'm glad to hear you're back home and on the mend Ray, I went through the same experience as you back in 2007, and I'm still pumpin' air.
Here's praying you get similar results after your surgery.   :hairy  :applaud

Great to see you back, and prayers for a speedy recovery!  :yessir:

Out of curiosity, did you get the Covid shot(s) before this?  I'm seeing more and more accounts that they are causing blood clots.

My best wishes for a full recovery and welcome back.  Heart issues are not uncommon in the unvaccinated who test positive for covid-19.  The problem among the vaccinated of developing heart problems is extremely rare.  You definitely do not want to get infected if you have any kind of heart problem.  Best of luck.

Well, Ray, your story sure beats my single stent surgery from 2016.
We want you to get well, so take your Meds, follow the diet, do the physical therapy
and above all read this Forum everyday. You'll be back on your feet in no time,
which is exactly where we all want you.
