What wood do you all use for the framing wood of your framed beaver pelts? I know a lot of people use grape vine. What do you use?

Howdy fellas! It’s been too long a time for sure. Happy to see your names. Too much to catch up on with this thread but rest assured life has thrown some wicked curve balls. Thanks for the Willow referral. I was able to find a river Willow along the pine creek earlier that worked out just fine. It’s not often that camp supplies break down but I’ve had two items go down this spring. One is back up! Looking forward to catching up with you both.

I'm a relative newcomer compared to you founding fathers (ooh, that sounds sexist!  :scared:) but when I trapped beaver, many moons ago, I also used willow, when I didn't tack the hides out on plywood.

Nice to meet you, hope to see more of your posts in future days!
