I have a #10 cap making kit coming. Heard good and not-so-good things about rolling yer own, I'll be the judge I guess.
Rather than use aluminum cans to form the cap shells I have some .005" copper sheet instead. And rather than forming the cups with a hammer I'll be using a 1/4 ton press.
Also will experiment with punching out paper cap pistol caps to use as the ignition, as well as the compound slurry mix that comes with the kit.
Like flinters, it'd be nice to be a bit more self sufficient than to have to rely on commercially made primers.
