Stumbled across this forum while reading up on flintlocks. I've recently discovered that I really enjoy black powder shooting with an old T/C sidelock percussion rifle. Now I'm trying to work up my courage to give flintlocks a try. Looks like there's a lot of useful information here - looking forward to learning more.

Hi jeff,
a very warm welcome from north Idaho. So glad you came to join us.
You're right about the useful info on here, many many moons of experience.
I have a few posts on my recent flintlock experiences and by no means should that dissuade you from trying a flinter.
enjoy Kevin
