Regardless of a person's stand on Marmite or Vegemite, we all can agree that this is bizarre and funny. In the 2000's Marmite sponsored an art contest. I suppose in New Zealand patents encourage their kids to play with their food. Here are four submissions.  :lol sign.  My vote goes to Marmalisa.

Heading over to Cheyenne with the family tomorrow. Going to take the kids to a trampoline park, a museum, and hopefully have a few good meals along the way.. if my knees survive the trip I'm going to try to poke a turkey 🦃 on Sunday morning before church.. We got Into the elk this past weekend while trying to get my son a bird..

Just got back from a traditional jazz festival held up in the Sierra foothills, east of Visalia, CA.  Had a great time there and picked up a beautiful Conn recording tuba.  Guess I am trying to relive my high school days when I played one of those in the band.  Actually, I played Sousaphone, not a tuba.
Fortunately, I am not planning on marching with it.
I got home last night and unpacked it and was really happy to see that I could still remember how to play a Bb scale and then went right into When the Saints Go Marching In.  I was amazed.

Uhh, how would one post a photo with sound?
I think that concept is beyond my limited ability on this silly machine.
Maybe I could just point the bell of the tuba east and give it a real loud blatt!!!
That has as much chance of working as the sound and picture thing does.

I was afraid that wouldn't work, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Stranger things have happened. Like the time I.........
Well we won't go there.

Tom, it might work, I just don't know how to make it work.
If/when I figure it out, I'll give it a try.

Well, I decided that with 5 different rendezvous coming up in the next two months, I needed some .530 ball to take with me.  So, I dug around and found my .530 mould, melting pot, lead, etc.  It took a while to clear the mess off my work bench and get set up.  Loaded a couple of pounds of lead into the pot, plugged it in and waited for the lead to melt.  And then I waited a little while longer.  And then I repeated the above process yet another time.  The pot would warm up, with warm being the key word, but it would not even approach hot.  Rats.  So, will I buy another pot or will I just say the heck with it and buy some round ball.  Have to think on that.  Until I reach a decision, I guess I am on hold.  Double rats.

Update on the last post.
I decided to order a little Lee lead pot (4 pound capacity).  It arrived and the mailman so kindly left it at the end of our walkway to the house.  Right in plain sight for any porch pirate to see and grab.  :Doh! Fortunately, none were lurking in the neighborhood.
So, anyway, I open it up a day or so later and say, yep, this will do OK.  So, a couple of days later I decide to cast some ball.  So, I go out into the garage and I see a box that says Lee on it.  I open it up and find a duplicate of the lead pot I had just gotten. ;banghead;
I guess I will sell the new one to recoup my costs and eventually get my big Lyman pot fixed.  I am thinking it is the rheostat that is causing the problems.
Anyway, now I have about 150 fresh new .530 ball plus what I already had.  I am ready.

Save 11 of those balls for the TMA John. 5 for the bullseye, 5 for the fun target, and last but not least, 1 for the long range target.
