Back in the 70's I used to go to a RDV in CA held at Rail Road Flats. It grew into something just amazing, with Traders' Row extending the length of a meadow and curving around and following the bottom about half way around. Traders were on both sides of the road. I think we were allowed a 10 or 15' frontage. In maybe 2010 or so, I decided it would be fun to go back. IIRC, there were 7 traders there and maybe a couple of blankets laid out as well.
What was an ocean of canvas in the early days turned into something only seen as the trader's tents. The participants were in campers, 5th wheel trailers and motorhomes. It seemed to me that the major competition was to see which dish antennas could pull in the most channels. (sarcasm)
It was a sad time out. I think we are all getting a lot older or have just died out. Lots of the old timers are gathering at the big rendezvous in the sky, that's for sure.
Too bad, it was shinin' times and I am sure glad I was a part of it when it was something to behold.
