Nicholas Cresswell, on the Kentucky River, June, 1775:
"These people behave very kind to me, I believe there is but two pair of Breeches in the company, one belonging to Mr. Tilling and the other to myself. The rest wear breechclouts, leggings and hunting shirts, which have never been washed only by the rain since they were made."
Guess ya gotta use what ya got on hand.

They didn't wear them out. The hunters were simply using that style of dress in the woods, whereas Cresswell is a prissy little Englishman who needs actual pants...

made some linen bags today. made some burlap yesterday but it seems most i've read talk of linen alot. Is this right?
