That's interesting. Never paid much attention to the money end of the fur trade for some reason. Just kind'a had the mind set that a trapper made on average about $200.00 a year - then went back into debt and he'd do it all over again. Very interesting what the price of furs were in 1820. One interesting thing in the "Number of Pelts Traded"....kinda looks like the Whitetail Deer took a pretty heavy hit in 1820, at least at that one Trading Post.
