Hey Spotted Bull. What type craftsman have you chosen for your persona? Personally, I have always portrayed a Wesleyan Circuit Rider, and have the full kit for that...but I am considering modifying the persona to a preacher who has been defrocked for some reason and is trying to start over while hiding his previous identity. Still working out the angles on that, but want a persona that provides a little more latitude in clothing and gear.

I am interested in your craftsman persona. Are you basing it on a real life skill or craft you have? That would be fun.

Yes sir, I plan on using my skills as a leather worker to portray a small shop owner. Since I'm from Louisiana and live in Texas I'm still working out the logistical story with accurate dates and places.

I like the idea of a "persona" I think they add to the enjoyment of this hobby/sport... I've been wrestling with one since I can remember - but I always get hung up on the dates as I grow older, and suddenly  :Doh! wow, will this fit me? It's almost as if it's a continual change to fit your persona's future as we advance in age... Just can't seem to get by that. Someday I'll get'er figured out.  :laffing :shake

I love the idea of a leather craftsman...wish I had a craft I was good enough at to have one as a persona. That would be so much fun. My son is a traditional blacksmith, but he doesn't have a traveling forge yet.

We are close to Waxahachie, in a wide spot in the road called Maypearl, about 40 to 45 miles south of Dallas.

Never been to Maypearl that I can recollect. My ol' stomping grounds were around Corpus and San Antonio. This coming Saturday & Sunday I have to be in Dallas for work. Then am planning to fly down to San Antonio so I can show my bride some of the Hill Country. We are going to do a Barbecue Circuit. I told her we could vary our diet by having TexMex for breakfast...lol
