Good reading!  :bl th up

I have hunted in much of the country from Trinidad, south through Raton, Taos, Eagle Pass, and I can assure you the name and stories of Kit Carson are alive and well in that neck of the woods....still, to this day!
My last visit in that area was about 2001 or 2002 after going to El Paso to see the kids.
Mostly High-Desert country with temperature swings of 70 to 80 degrees between day and night.

I recall one of my very early trips in that country with my Dad, back in the early 1950s.
I was a teenager back then that had only vaguely heard of Kit Carson up to that point, but my Dad knew his history, and he told me many stories on that trip about who Kit Carson really was, and some of the many things he had accomplished back 100 plus years prior to our time.

Very nice reading!
