Title: The Fronteirsmen
Post by: Oldetexian on April 20, 2019, 11:37:59 AM
For anyone interested in the F&I War and early Colonial period thru the Revolution, it is hard to beat The Frontiersmen by Allan Eckert. The book was researched for over seven years and is the first of a series entitled "The Winning of America." The history of the opening of the west is told in a riveting manner the weaves the stories of all the historical figures into a factual history that reads like fiction. George Rogers Clark, Daniel Boone, Simon Girty, Arthur St. Clair,  William Henry Harrison and Simon Kenton are all present as are the great Native American leaders such as Tecumseh, Blue Jacket and many others.

The Frontiersman is also available on Kindle which is especially nice since this is a big book of over 600 pages.
