Interesting money for sure. If I recall correctly, paper currency took some time to catch on with folks... I think I read somewhere that most folks preferred coin type money, and I certainly understand the reasoning behind both approaches. I'd be surprised if in fact the Colonial Government(s) had the gold/silver to even back this paper money, but they eventually sold the idea of it to folks. In reality I doubt folks had much choice other to eventually except the paper notes.
