In 1845 the Scottish "tartan" was available in HBC posts (Columbia Dist.) The following tartan fabric was sent from London by ship, to Vancouver . :applaud :applaud ( some poss, SOs for HBC personal use but other gen sale (?))

Royal Stewart - 339 1/2 yd.s
The "tartans" I posted below are only, perhaps what they looked like ::)
