Well, I finally got one of my ponies broke to drive, so I plan to build a scaled-down version of a Red River (type) cart this winter.
I think it'll be a good way to haul my "trappin's" into camp,... and maybe give some "liddle-buckskinners" a ride 'round camp when I ain't busy shooting.
Heck,... maybe I can even charge a few plews, to haul the other old greybeard's shootin-stuff to the range for'em.

There's a nice display in the MN historical Society right now on the Pembina area, talking 'bout the ox carts and the metis. will be here 'til spring of '09 if ya git a chance ta stop by...

Riley, I'd sure like to see that display but I've only been to MN twice in 60+ years.

That just might be to much of a trip fer Ol' Molly, I heard ya say a few years back that she gets real sore feets just walking from the pasture to the barn....ya just may hav'ta end up letting her ride, and you do all the pullin!

Yeah,... Molly makes out like she cain't do much "work" anymore, but I know fer'a FACT that she's a liddle younger'n me. ;)
