Does anyone know of a pattern for them. Any help would be great!
-
Do you mean the ox/beefhide summer shoe or the winter version like Arrowmoc.com sells?
Mario

Contact Sir Michael, he has one and wants me to build a pair for him
-
I am talking about the summer version
-
Basically a puckered toe, vamped mocc pattern. You'll need a shoe last.
I think that Mike Tharp and Lloyd Cheney use too heavy a leather, but the last is needed to help form it.
You crossing over to the Dark Side???
Mario

Voyageurs Sketchbook has a pattern from a original pair in the MOFT.
-
I would cross if I were in the right area to do it. I am in the middle of SC and not close enough to the mtns. to attempt it. Just wanted to make a pair out of some thick buffalo leather I have.
-
Then, out of curiousity, why make a French-canadien pattern shoe?
Mario
-
Just to make it. I like to reproduce anything I can just to say I did. And if they turn out decent, maybe offer some or sale.

Eric,
Getting to this thread awful late. Did you ever make a pair? If so, I'd like to see a picture of them.
Morgan
(who has toyed with the idea of crossing to the dark side)

SC had some historic loyalists, AND they have some Loyalist units today..., so come on over to the dark side..., we have cookies.., err sorry we have "biscuts"

I would cross over if there were milice units in my area. But in Arkansas all I can come up with stationed at ARkansas Post were marines....not really interested in that route.
Sounds strange for a born and bred southern boy to say, but sometimes I wish I lived in upstate New York.
