Prize Turkey Horn
« on: February 22, 2010, 01:31:30 PM »
Thought I'd share some pics of a powder horn I won at the Choptank Muzzleloaders banquet, this was a prize for our aggregate shoot (came in 4th out of 25 shooters, score was over five different shoots). My buddy Jerry made this and left it blank, saying he'd scrimshaw it for whoever won it. Told him it was going to go with the 16 ga flint smoothbore I'm making for turkey hunting, so this is what he scrimmed on it for me. Pretty cool, I really like it. Extra special because he's the old guy that first got me to shoot a flintlock several years ago.   :)
