Smoothie barrels of the roundish persuasion can indeed be swamped. My New England fowling piece has a 20ga x 44" Getz barrel that is swamped. It was built for me in1986 by Joe Gondek.

I'm not sure what the make of the barrel is, but it's an octagon to round configuration.
