Another smoothbore in the works ...
« on: October 15, 2016, 09:16:27 PM »
... this time from that raconteur gun maker, jackie brown of "world ml reknown".  a .62 "poor boy" farmer's gun (trade gun, etc) with an L&R queen anne lock, a 42" OTR barrel and a plain jane maple stock probably of southern architecture, i'm not picky.  all iron furniture, a pair of thimbles, no muzzle cap or stock thimble entry and no butt plate.  simple is as simple does.  everything in-the-white, so i'll LMF walnut stain the stock and oil 'er up with TOTW original oil finish.  all the metal can just patina on its own.  hopefully, images will arrive in the coming week.  life's still good ... so far.  :hey-hey

I can't say as though I've ever seen one of Jackie's "Poor Boy" smoothies, sounds interesting.  :)

All this talk on smoothies made me get mine out, wipe and swab 'em down good, while reassuring them I have not forgotten about them.
Ya gotta love them smoothies!

That's pretty close to the description of my J.Brown trade gun. I have a 36 inch barrel but I have the same lock and I also chose iron furniture. Had him put on a set of his sling attachments too.

Easily my favorite gun. Fits perfect and the lock is great. Can't wait to see pictures of yours.
